My blogging buddy, Virginia, at Small Reflections has generously sent some more awards my way over the past couple of months.  It's just now that I'm getting around to posting about them and sending them on to people in my blogroll...Geesh, I'm so lame lately.  I don't mean to be, honestly. (Now if I can just get them to fit properly in my side bar...Ugh!)

Virginia will celebrate her first anniversary in the Blogosphere in a couple of weeks, but you'd never know it.  She's an old pro already.  She passed me up months ago.  She's truly amazing with what she has learned in just one year and what she has done with her site.  Please go and check it out when you get a chance.  This lady has more energy when it comes to blogging than ten of us put together.  She's spunky, thoughtful, helpful, funny and is the reason I have most of my awards on my side bar.  So thank you sweet Virginia for this new batch of wonderful awards....

The I LOVE YOUR BLOG AWARD is suppose to come with some rules, but Virginia didn't really clarify them.  She herself said that she didn't really follow them originally, and you know what?.....I can understand why.  This award is a hard one to pick just a select few from my blogroll because I LOVE THEM ALL...or they wouldn't be there in the first place. I love them all for so many different reasons...what I experience from them, what I experience from the writer, the creativity of the writing....they all are so different.  So, I'm taking the wimpy way out....and I'm doing what Virginia originally did....I'm sharing this award with everyone on my blogroll.  Okay, so I'm a wimp!  But I'm a lovable wimp. 

(By the way, I understand if some of you are not inclined to put awards on your site.....that's totally up to you individually.)

The INSPIRATION AWARD falls right into the same category....for the very same reasons.  I am constantly inspired when I make my visits to your sites.  We have so many talented bloggers out there that make pure poetry of the written word.  They have made me laugh and cry with their heartwarming stories.  They have educated me with wit and friendship....and I am greatful in the process. I feel blessed to have made such strong friendships in this blogging community....you are an inspiration.  This award goes to each and every one of you. 

The KREATIV BLOGGER AWARD follows suit; and I'd like to present it to all my blogging friends who are creative.  Writing, poetry, painting, photography, needlework, cooking, designing....you name it.  If you are creative....this award is for you.

The MILLION DOLLAR FRIEND AWARD does apparently come with 'rules.'  Thanks Virginia. I guess I'll follow them like a good blogger.

Internet Agony

  Sometime last night I lost the internet connection on my computer.  I don't know exactly when it was because I was blissfully watching the Chicago Cubs breaking out of a slump and whooping (well, kind of whooping) the Arizona Diamondbacks in a late-nite game. 

So it wasn't until my son left to go home and I headed to the computer to just 'check' a few things, that I saw I had no connection to the internet.  POOP!  After going through the usual quick steps to get my connection back and seeing that nothing was working, I could feel that tinge of frustration....right before the first signs of panic.....starting to build.  I knew I was in for "one of those days," so I just went to bed and decided to take it all on today......secretly hoping by some miracle it would all get healed during the night.

By 7:30 this morning things were no better....and the next stage was starting to set in.  This was exactly what I live in fear of.....SOMETHING HAPPENING TO MY COMPUTER!!  Well, okay, officially it wasn't really my computer....it was something connected to my computer that was making the problem.

After making some calls myself along with my daughter, Jenna, it seems to have been a router connected to my computer that needed to be reset from THEIR end.  It took talking to my cable company several times that hosts my internet, talking with a friend of Jenna's who originally hooked up my computer and it's wiring, and finally talking with the people who made the router box.  Good Grief!  And what everyday layperson is suppose to know this stuff????

I'm crossing my fingers....and everything else I can cross in hopes that whatever they reset did the trick.  After being absent from the internet for low these many hours....I'm finally back on.  Things look back to normal as far as I can tell.  But I haven't been able to check anything for a whole day....that includes work.  This is where I find being unable to access the internet takes me to the next level of PANIC. 

It's one thing if I can't write a post or check my e-mails or even visit my friends for a day or two; but it's another thing when I can't keep on top of some things with work.  Somehow that really bothers me.  I think I just have to tell myself there are worse things in this life.....and really remember that.  I feel a little hypocritical since I've told other people basically the same thing when they've been caught in that situation...."It's not worth losing sleep over...it all gets taken care of."  I think I better learn to practice what I preach.....besides, I'm exhausted from worrying about it.
