This came a couple of days ago from Julie, Chris and the kids. One of my most favorite bouquets. I'm trying not to open it and inhale those cookies for as long as possible. Looks way too pretty to eat...but somehow I think I'll manage.
I was treated to dinner the other night by two fabulous ladies. Denise and TW picked me up at 6:00 and we made our way to Prairie Grass Cafe in Northbrook, Il. Nice place, really good food...and I don't think we stopped laughing the whole time we were there. Those ladies kill me. Denise is the Community Manager for BlogHer...so I work with her all the time. You couldn't ask for a better boss. What a nice evening....I think it was just what I needed. Thanks again sweet friends...
We had a little snow...not much, maybe an inch; but it's almost melted already. That's fine by me...even though I do like a little whiteness for Christmas. I can't remember ever going this long into December without getting some horrendous snow storm or blizzard. I think we're all a little shocked here in the midwest...but hey, noone is complaining. Especially since we keep hearing that 'it's coming.' "It" is what scares me. I just try to block it out of my thoughts. My survival tactic.
Jen, Joe and I got all of our presents mailed off to Bella, Bastian and Olive the other day....and they were delivered without any problems. I know those kids are excited....even little Olive could hardly contain herself. No peeking before Christmas guys.
I hope you all are doing well and your holiday preparations are running smoothly. Only one week away....YIKES! Bless you all....and Happy Holidays. ~Joy xo

Joy--How can I thank you for posting the photo of the cookies when my looking at them resulted in a gain of .73897 pound? Sounds like you have everything well in hand!

A cookie bouquet! That is wonderful.
Love the shot of Olive and her presents. Kids make Christmas so much more special.

Did you sense that I was close by a couple of days ago, at O'Hare? We were so grateful that the weather played no tricks on us and that we were able to fly out with no problems.

Well Joy, I'm just not a ‘cookie’ person so I suspect that bouquet of cookies would last through several Christmas seasons at my house. That's assuming of course that they could endure life in the attic between each Christmas!
Have a Merry Christmas Joy! xo
