She's a whole 10 days old now...WOW; and she's doing just great. She's gained a pound. Life is good. No demands, no pressure...just eat, poop, sleep, and tolerate being passed around into the many arms of her visitors. Oh the life of a new baby girl. She may not even have a clear focus on all those faces yet, but it doesn't matter....they can do all the staring for as long as they like; or at least until 'Little Miss New Person' requests to return to her one and only food source...Mommy.
Yes, Liv is pretty much 'ruling the roost' at this point...but everyone's loving it. And although mom and dad may be feeling a little tired some days, they're still floating on the fumes of parenthood...and the wonder that is sweet little Liv.
Soon I'll be holding her in MY arms....and I can do a little floating of my own.
Where am I in this brand new place?
What happened to my cozy space?
So soft and warm...and quiet too,
I've left that space...it's all brand new.
It's all brand new in every way;
Where others now fill up my days.
I think they're trying to help me out,
And cuddle me each time I shout.
What do they now expect of me?
Their faces I can barely see.
So many funny sounds from places;
Mostly coming from those faces.
And often there's this gentle breeze;
Around my head down to my knees.
It circles right around my cheek;
And makes me want to fall asleep.
I think I'm going to like it here;
Where food is warm...and love is near.
I'm pretty sure I'll be just fine;
I love these two new friends of mine.
