Last Saturday I had a long, wonderful lunch with two of my most favorite ladies ever....Heather and Miffy. Heather, is literally like my fourth daughter and a beautiful girl I worked with at Discovery; and Miffy was one of our trainers in the Prevention Division for the same company. She is now living in Florida and was in town for a family wedding. We all met up at a local Mexican restaurant near by house for a long-awaited gab-fest and love-in. Heather lives in Chicago; so I see and talk to her occasionally (although not enough)....but, I honestly couldn't remember the last time I saw Miffy. And when we hugged, we could barely let go. This is a woman with a LOT of love inside of her. Warm and endearing, honest and funny....a pure joy to be around.
For the next 3+ hours we were so caught up in conversation we were oblivious to everything else around us. We talked about everything we could think of...or fit in. But believe me we hardly covered everything. We needed so much more time. Miffy was tired from the the long day before of the wedding. She was going home the next day and was going back to Heather's place for the night.
Sweet Heather, so generous and thoughtful as I've always known her to be, had already paid the bill without telling us while we were busy chatting away thinking she went to the ladies room. So typical of her. I'll get her next time we go out.
All in all...it was a great few hours together; and Mif just had to have a photo to remember it by. Here we are...full of love and chicken fajitas....but hardly talked out....Heather, Miffy and Joy.

While Grammy was having a nice lunch with the ladies over the weekend...Bella and Bastian went apple-picking with mom and dad and some friends. Looks like they had a great time. I can't remember the last time I went apple-picking....can you? I just LOVE the Fall...and I can smell the hot apple pie coming out of the oven right now. Hugs, Joy
